In a region scarred by the Middle East conflict, Talitha Kumi provides a safe and friendly place to study.
Our School Centre

The School
Girls and boys in Palestine grow up in a continually stressful environment full of tension and political conflict. Given this background, Talitha Kumi seeks to provide a safe setting where young people can learn and develop.

Kindergarten
Our youngest children attend the modern and spacious kindergarten. The colorful building invites the children to play no matter what the weather – there is a large outdoor playground, as well as a light-filled play-area inside the building.

Girls’ Boarding School
15 girls from socially disadvantaged families are being looked after at Talitha Kumi Boarding School. They live in small groups supervised by a counselor and supported by young volunteers from Germany.

The Community College
Talitha Kumi was able to open Talitha Kumi Community College in 2000, specializing in hotel business careers up to diploma level. The graduates receive certificates accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.

History
1851 – Theodor Fliedner, founder of the Diakoniewerk (pastoral welfare work) in Kaiserswerth, Germany, opens a children’s home for Arabic girls in Jerusalem.

The Guest House
Welcome to Talitha Kumi Guest House! It is the ideal starting point for individual travellers or groups who want to visit Palestine and experience firsthand the friendliness of its people.
